About Jill Morris

As a painter, my principal interest is in how the application of oil paint and choice of colour can affect the emotional and intellectual response of the viewer.

Since completing my degree in 2012, I have produced work based on old photographs and newsreel, investigating notions of memory, emotion and social history. More recently I have begun working exclusively from life,

I have a First Class Honours BA degree in Fine Art (Painting).

My work has been exhibited in galleries including St Anne's Gallery, Lewes and Protege Gallery Richmond upon Thames. Work has been shown at The Affordable Art Fair Battersea and Hampstead.

Examples of my work are to be found in private collections in England, the USA and Europe.
